January 2010

  • Visit by Vipulbhai Kalyani, Ramanbhai Pullan, Son Himanshu Pullan and his wife. Impressed Himanshu pledged a further £1100 as donation for the school project while his father Ramanbhai pledged Rs.50000 to buy books for the library.
  • Visit by Jiten Hirabhai of Toronto Canada. Impressed Jitenbhai donated a further Rs.100000 for the school project and brother Dinubhai donated a further Rs.36000 to pay for teachers.
  • Mohanbhai R Karadia of Leicester UK donated £1000 for the school project a few days before his death on 17th January 2010.
  • Visit by Sureshbhai Nathu of Johannesburgh South Africa. Impressed Suresbhai donated Rs.225000 for the school project.

  • Manubhai Gijubhai Patel of Toronto, Canada has donated Rs.150000 for the purchase of books. So far we have spent Rs.100000. Our library now has 3247 books old and new. All books have been barcoded and computerised. The library is open to all and members are issued with barcoded membership cards. It has been fully carpeted, furnished with new chairs and re-cycled tables. Airconditioning has also been installed. A full time librarian has also been employed to look after the library. The library became fully operational on 30th June 2008.
